Day 2 of 8MA - it is hard work. I fail after 15 reps... and my neck keeps feeling the "yank". Did it today at the gym with my friend who PCPed 3 months before me, and he told me the trick is to go slow and controlled, so the neck and back don't get the strain.
Early dinner tonight at home as I am meeting some food writers later and will have to sit through that dinner with no food... torture! Shaking things up a bit for my dinner as I am really bored eating apples and bananas all week - am putting them in as a milk shake now.
The neck will tone up real quick if you do it everyday. In a week the neck stuff will be a thing of the past.
ReplyDeleteEgg white dinner can be monotonous, think of it more like medicine than food!
You did good today! I was very impressed, my second day of 8MA was torture!
ReplyDeleteGreat to meet with you and Terri on sat night... short but fun. You guys should post the pics! Also, could you post some PCP compliant resturants around soho and central. I am sure they will get some custom from us! Planning an night out with the wife on Friday but not many good resturants I know serve an apple and 2 egg whites for dinner!
ReplyDeleteThanks Patrick and Geordie!
ReplyDeleteHey Justin, you would be hard-pressed to find a restaurant that will just serve you two egg whites for dinner!
Places I have so far encountered that are very good at catering to PCP needs (if you notify the restaurant in advance) include Alfie's, 208, Bistecca etc.
But given what we are eating for dinner these days, better not go at night... Try lunch instead?
Then again, Terri and I did the night snack (veggies) at a yakitori bar last night, no salt! Not bad and it is a nice change to home steamed/boiled veg!!
